Dear Friends,

I am pleased to inform you that my documentary "Imagined Nature: A Day With Andrea Marini, Sculptor" will be screened from April 9th through April 25th, 2010 at Lu.C.C.A. (Lucca Center of Contemporary Art), in the lovely city of Lucca, Tuscany. The screening is in conjunction with the exhibition "State of Mind / Minimal Art / Panza Collection" and works by Andrea Marini and Gianni Caverni. This piece was a collaboration with Laura Kraning and Suilma Rodriguez, who helped me with editing, and Lucas Apestegui, composer, who created the original soundtrack. Later in May "Insights on Acting With Sandro Lombardi" will open in Florence, Italy at a place and date TBD.

Sono lieta di informarvi che il mio documentario "Natura Immaginata: Una Giornata Con Andrea Marini, Scultore" verra' presentato dal 9 al 25 aprile, 2010 al Lu.C.C.A. (Lucca Center of Contemporary Art), a Lucca. La proiezione e' parte della mostra "State of Mind / Minimal Art / Panza Collection" e opere di Andrea Marini e Gianni Caverni. Il cortometraggio e' stata una collaborazione con Laura Kraning e Suilma Rodriguez per il montaggio e Lucas Apestegui, compositore, che ha creato le musiche originali. Alla fine di maggio e' prevista la presentazione a Firenze, in luogo e data da definire, di "Dentro l'Arte Della Recitazione con Sandro Lombardi".

Monica Gazzo is a graduate from the San Francisco Art Institute (MFA). Her films have been shown at the Directors Guild of America, Hollywood, Los Angeles Filmforum, Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley, Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (Egyptian Theatre, Hollywood), Melnitz Theatre at University of California, Los Angeles, New Festival at NYU, New York City, Cleveland International Film Festival, Cleveland, Ohio, MadCat Women's International Film Festival, Angels Gate Cultural Center, Anais Nin Video & Film Diary Festival, Big Sur, California, 18th Street Arts Complex, Santa Monica, Society for Cinema Studies Conference, New Orleans, LA, State University at Binhampton (SUNY), Film Arts Festival, Roxie Cinema, San Francisco; UC Theater, Berkeley, Beaubourg Pompidou Center, Paris and the London Filmmaker's Coop, amongst other venues.
